The Many Niches of Crowdfunding

There are now almost 100 crowdfunding platforms listed in our database. These include systems that follow the donation, reward/perks, equity, and debt/lending models (with the vast majority of platforms using donation or reward/perks- the traditional fundraising models). We knew the crowdfunding space would get crowded very quickly, but never expected startups to gravitate toward so many different niches this soon!

Some of the nich-iest of the niches include crowdfunding for veterans and military personnel, farming, real estate, mobile apps, solar energy, online streaming television, and indie books.
